BBC iWonder is an informal learning product which was developed to change the way people use and interact with online content.
Aimed at users open to learning, BBC iWonder makes learning feel effortless and playful by waking the users natural curiosity with innovative guides and resources built around world-class BBC content.
My focus on the iWonder product was the infographic and data visualisation content being commissioned and produced by various teams across the UK. This involved:
Working with the iWonder editorial teams to concept, design and deliver infographic content.
Art directing infographic, data visualisation and motion graphic content, created by commercial agencies and freelance designers. This consisted of making sure the designs followed the iWonder style guide, information design best practices and had a strong narrative.
Future thinking for iWonder information design content, reviewing the current guidelines and looking at ways the evolve them.
Review and seek to improve the information design output for the BBC iWonder site.
